Loyal to a point
it all really started by watch my mom do oil paintings and charcoal drawings when I was a kid and in 1985 Graffiti was just taking off so started doing that with my friends so for over 30 years I’ve been doing my thing but let me be clear. I didn’t kill or go all city. I just got up and still do till today with stickers.
being I’m older and have a lot more on the line stickers allows me to get up pretty much everywhere that I go and if I decide to trade it gives me the opportunity to get up all over planet earth.
when I put on New York city’s first ever sticker show I definitely got sent in over 3 million plus stickers Its was nothing but huge black garbage bags fill with stickers all over the house. Maybe 60 bags. Crazy
The stick a culture has changed dramatically. when I started you basically had Flickr to send and trade with But as social media expanded with Facebook and IG and all the other places the sticker game got a little bit out of control it went from graffiti to anybody could just draw something and copying image that somebody else made and really just killed the graffiti aspect. it’s definitely become a free open market for anybody out there That could just press a button on the printer. But I do prefer to see people draw with the hands I do have some awesome artwork in my own personal collection from sticker artists from all over the world.
This really depends on the person doing the sticker. I myself do it for the graffiti aspect of it with today’s climate in the way the world is I’m sure a lot of people are put up stickers have a different meaning behind the sticker beer religion politics sex drugs rock ‘n’ roll talk to the person that’s putting the sticker up and they could only give you a true answer. I myself just want people to know when they see my sticker that I’m all over this planet earth and they are part of a select group of people that get to see me up.
just the same trying to come up with new sticker designs and just getting with my crew BKC making sure we keeping active
as a sticker trader for a good 15+ years I’ve been blessed to have my stickers bless this planet from all my trades. I’ve had well over 10 million stickers go through my hands over the years but I am missing spots that are cold because of the glue not sticking to anything but I’ve had people stick them in snow for me in Switzerland and I even had a cop car side covered with a bunch of full sheet stickers I sent a girl sticker head at a ski lodge. That was kool LoL
try to be original draw with your hands if you can add some colors if you can but please stop taking images off the Internet putting it on a sticker and saying it’s yours when it was somebody else’s work be original.
Not really. Maybe my mom because she still does art in her 80’s and I do love seeing that
you need to check out CAOTIC from Puerto Rico. He’s on IG and FB.
This is a person who is lived through government being corrupt to massive storms wiping out his country and he still getting up doing graffiti and put up stickers. He came from nothing to having his own little shop he’s printing his own stickers. He’s just out there hustling to make money to survive and stickers that’s all you really need.
Just glad to be alive and still breathing and a big shout out to BKC stick a crew Blowing Kush Clouds with out this crew I wouldn’t be in this game anymore.
