12. Elias Chapter

01. How would you define Elias Chapter?

Peaceful relaxed but also a crazy thinker.

02. How did all begin? How long have you been with this?

I have been drawing for many years and even loved colors as a child, but when I discovered graffiti a few years ago I really started to get into art. Because I have always been a sticker fan and they are perfect for spreading around the world, I started using my pictures as stickers six months ago.

03. Why do you attaching stickers?

As I have just described, stickers are very easy to spread around and so more people can look at your art. The feeling of sticking a sticker in a nice place is also a good reason. But the most important thing is to have fun.

04. An interesting anecdote?

Once I went to a party with a friend. We drank a lot and I didn’t notice that my backpack was stolen. Everything was gone, only my stickers were still there because I always carry them in my pocket. #stickerlove

05. How do you see the sticker culture? Is there really subculture?

The sticker culture is a very nice community for me. A community with many talented artists from many fields of art. Yes, there is a subculture with many different personalities.

I see the sticker culture as a subculture of graffiti, but in my opinion is it more easily accessible and much more welcoming than the graff scene.

06. Do you considerer this movement like an art? What do you try to transmit with this?

Yes, this movement is an art and very expressive. Sometimes I want to say something with my stickers and sometimes I just want to paint a funny character. Stickers can tell stories but can also be used to show your name. I draw my stickers depending on what feelings I want to express.

07. Anything new in mind?

I like to try to design my stickers with different media, such as acrylic paint and spraypaint combined, or thermal prints colored with an alcohol marker. I will also try paste-ups in the near future.

08. Farthest place where do you have gone? Where would you like see your stickers?

Well so far I haven’t gotten around until now. I stick a lot in my hometown but I want to travel more in the future. Of course, I want to see my stickers in as many places as possible. why? Because a world without stickers, murals, graffiti, tags and paint on the walls is just gray and boring.

09. Some advice for the people are beginning in this art?

Just start. Art has no rules, Art has no limits. Write to communities and exchange ideas. If you don`t have ideas, take your time, and relax.

10. Someone who had been a reference for you?

There are so many artists I like. I don’t want to mention any names, otherwise, we would have a list of at least 100 artists. But I also collect my inspiration by cruising the streets or watching tv. Sometimes I also find inspiration while sleeping 🙂

11. Whom would you offer next month?

I choose Ales for the next interview. Ales is another member of the Fill the void crew like I am. We have already done a few collaborations together and every collab has turned out really nice. I like his style very much. So my bro if you read this show the people who Ales is..
